What Our Volunteers Have to Say About MLLO:

Betty Christopher

"I have been a lead volunteer for Mommy's Light, serving children in New Jersey, since 2001. I can't begin to tell you how this has changed my life! I can relate to the children's feelings of losing their mom, because I lost my mom when I was eleven years old. Through the years I have continued with my mom's traditions, and when I heard of Mommy's Light, I knew this was the organization that I was meant to volunteer for.  I look forward to my interviews and visits with the children, knowing that we can bring some joy into their lives."

Mommy's Light Volunteer of the Year 2004

"Thank YOU Mommy's Light for the opportunity to serve. It is truly a pleasure to be associated with a quality non-profit that is committed to serve our children. I have been associated with many, many groups over the years and I have to say that Mommy's Light is "light" years above the rest. From the work that you do, to the way you interact, to your staff and the way you treat your volunteers....you exemplify the professionalism that should be a model for all other organizations to follow."

"Mommy's Light is such an amazing organization, doing amazing things for families in the area. In turn, it attracts amazing volunteers. I love volunteering my time for an organization I can get behind 100 percent. But I also love that every time I volunteer, without fail, I walk away having met new, wonderful people who enrich my own life."
